I plan what I'm making a month ahead so it's too late for this year but next year I will try a thing or 2. Thurs was my last trip to the grocery for last things that needed to be freshest :) I can't deal with the crowds. I've done this before.

I do experiment on Thanksgiving! But never with everything, actually I probably have but with my fam who ate almost anything. I have only made the cranberry chutney mostly for the last 10 years, once in a while corn bread. This year I'm being more ambitious. I made ahead & froze vice house chili hush puppies (no hatch chilis around me) and I'm making three sisters stew, a native American dish. I've never made it but it's a pretty easy stew/soup dish, I'm not worried.

I am bringing my own Gardien turkey patty & gravy and picked up some vegan mini deserts from a Turkish vegan cafe I just learned is near me.
