I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's this week, and I casually started reading the author you are referring to. The guy starts the book talking about how he gets his knowledge from a spirit that starting talking to him as a kid. And then, there is a review on Amazon that says if you are a Christian you should avoid this book because it is not the "Holy Spirit" who speaks to him. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?
Thanks for calling this out. When I saw the initial story, and list of fires (many minor) I thought “shit happens” and went on. Next thing I knew, a whole new rabbit hole had opened up and a herd of gullible folks were scampering down the thing. I figure they’ll pop out when a new rabbit hole opens up that is even more nuts.
Yet it's important we continue asking questions even if it means some people ask the wrong ones. The alternative is not asking any questions and just believing everything the government and corporations are telling you. Judging information and deciding what is plausible and what is not is a useful skill everyone has to practice.

Omg thank you for this. When I was going through treatment for breast cancer, you wouldn’t believe the stupid shit people told me.
Thank you for writing this! Exactly!!! I always enjoy your emails and recipes, but this one is the one that got me to subscribe.
Thank you. So much bullshit out there…

Ok, ok, but seriously Emma Lovewell isn’t a liar, right?
