Driving up and down the California coast is our favorite thing to do. I could literally drive the stretch from morro bay to Big Sur back and forth forever and never want to be anywhere else. Recent finds include a little spot in Pismo Beach (middle of nondescript parking lot) serving delicious vegan bowls. Called Why Not? (Seriously. Shitty restaurant name, great food).
I could not care less about most people's reflections *HOWEVER* I always Always ALWAYS love everything you both write here. It's always so interesting, and yes, the damn fine food doesn't hurt either LOL
I LOVE the photos and the whole vibe of Fast as Fuck ( and all of the doggy photos too 😻) Hope you fully recovered! I adopted a AZ. dog with Valley Fever that needs meds. for life. She’s a happy pup though : )
I love this post and the photos. So beautiful. I discovered the Bad Manners blog years ago when I was searching for a tomato soup recipe. That recipe is the best ever and still the gold standard. I bought the digital version of The Official Cookbook while I wait for Hungry as Hell. I’ve cooked my way through half of The Official and every recipe has been excellent. ❤️
We always love to hear someone replacing one of our books bc the original got too much love. Librarians have told us our cookbooks are notorious for not getting returned. Coincidence about CBC discussing valley fever but lol.
Fast as fuck is my favorite book... because it’s full of noods!!! But I wouldn’t give up any of them. Super pumped for the new book ❤️
so glad you love the recipes❤️
Primo photography of my other home here.
compliment accepted 🫡
Taking my kid to Cal Poly Humboldt next week. It IS all about the weed.🤣
Can I just say how much I love reading yalls blogs! So good. Cannot wait for the next book.

“We risk more by not taking a risk,” Thanks…needed to hear that. Right at this moment…thanks for this—and all of the great recipes

I promise we’ll never be boring
What a fun read! This is my favourite cookbook so it’s fun to get more stories about it!
Also, my 1 year old loves the illustration at the front. When I pull it out for meal planning we chat about all the picture.
Aww I’m gonna tell Nick he’d love to know that, he’s a father too.

Poor pup, I feel her pain. I had to take meds for VF too but it cleared up eventually, maybe a few months. Hope she gets better!
Coccidioidomycosis (AKA Valley Fever) can also cause lifelong disability and/or death. Glad your case was milder than mine.
Your photos are beautiful.
Thank you! Yeah I had no clue how serious it was till I went to the doctor.
